I'm currently looking for interesting musical projects and/or revenue generating musical projects. I have played many styles of music, ranging from Top-40 Cover bands when I was young, World Music & Punk in what would be, I guess, my "middle years", thro the Texas Blues & Country I've played more recently.
I'm not really interested in doing any of that anymore, unless there's significant monetary compensation.
After doing quite a lot of auditioning the past few months, I'm leaning more now towards forming my own band. This is mostly because I've been quite frustrated by the musicians I've been running across during the audition process. My ideal at the moment would be a band that plays selected cover material covering a wide range of styles, past & present, & also plays quality Original music where appropriate.
My tastes run from 60's Pop & Rock to 70's Punk & Funk to Outlaw Country and Jazz & Fusion. I believe most music fans have similar wide-ranging tastes. I also feel the need to have a political component to any project I'm associated with - due to the current political situation, I believe that concerned citizens must stand up & fight the lies & mis-information currently being put forth by a dangerous minority intent on imposing a Theocratic Corporatocracy in any way they can.
